Description A locum tenens opportunity is available for a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) beginning June 22, 2026 at a high-acuity acute care hospital . This assignment offers a flexible 4x10 daytime schedule with no overtime and no call , providing exposure to a wide range of complex surgical specialties in a medically directed anesthesia practice model. About the facility This is a 593-bed acute care hospital with Level I–IV trauma designation (Adult Level I trauma exposure) .

The CRNA team works in a medically directed 1:3 model (max 1:4) alongside anesthesiologists and surgical teams across multiple specialty areas. No overtime available for this position Travel expenses reimbursed, including: Mileage Rental car Hotel Flight Malpractice Covered Job Responsibilities Provide anesthesia care across a broad range of inpatient surgical and procedural cases Work collaboratively in a medically directed anesthesia model Manage anesthesia for patients of all ages, including high-acuity and complex cases Deliver anesthesia services for: General anesthesia (GETA) Monitored anesthesia care (MAC) Regional anesthesia Spinal anesthesia Ultrasound-guided techniques Support high-acuity surgical services including trauma, cardiac, neuro, and vascular cases Participate in perioperative anesthesia management across multiple specialties Note: CRNAs do not perform blocks CRNAs perform epidurals without physician presence Qualifications Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) – required Active Pennsylvania license – required (no licensing support available) ACLS and PALS certifications – required Minimum 2 years of experience preferred Must be eligible for hospital credentialing (clean file preferred) Credentialing timeframe: approximately 90 days (expedited possible with approval) Working Hours Schedule: Monday–Friday (4x10-hour shifts) Shift Hours: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM Schedule Flexibility: Can choose 4 days per week Coverage Type: Full-time equivalent Call: No call required Overtime: Not permitted for this role Start Date: June 22, 2026 Contract Length: Through end of approval period Skills Proficiency in: General anesthesia (GETA) Monitored anesthesia care (MAC) Regional anesthesia Spinal anesthesia Ultrasound-guided anesthesia techniques Ability to manage high-acuity surgical cases across multiple specialties Experience working in a medically directed anesthesia model (1:3–1:4) Competence in complex inpatient and trauma-level environments Strong adaptability across diverse surgical services Experience with Epic EMR preferred Effective collaboration with anesthesiologists and multidisciplinary surgical teams
