Description A locum tenens Hematology/Oncology opportunity is available in an outpatient setting in North Dakota. About the facility This outpatient cancer care center offers a team-based environment with strong clinical support, including a full-time Medical/Hematology Oncologist, a Nurse Practitioner, and Radiation Oncologists on-site.
The practice manages a balanced mix of hematology and oncology cases and supports a steady infusion volume. The facility currently uses Cerner and is transitioning to Epic (Beacon) in October 2026. Travel expenses reimbursed, including: Mileage Rental car Hotel Flight Malpractice Covered Job Responsibilities Provide outpatient care for hematology and oncology patients Manage a 50/50 mix of oncology and hematology cases See approximately 16 clinic patients per day Oversee or coordinate care for ~30 infusion patients daily Collaborate with on-site physicians, advanced practice providers, and radiation oncology team Document patient care using EMR systems Optional participation in weekend call coverage Qualifications Board Certified in Hematology and Oncology Active North Dakota medical license (or ability to obtain) DEA (easily transferable) IMLC providers accepted Experience in outpatient oncology and infusion settings preferred Working Hours Monday through Friday 8-hour day shifts Initial coverage: April 27 – May 1 Ongoing need: One week per month No required call (optional weekend call available) Skills Strong clinical expertise in hematology and oncology Experience managing infusion therapy workflows Familiarity with Cerner and Epic Effective communication and teamwork in a multidisciplinary setting Efficient patient management in a moderate-volume outpatient clinic
