We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Interventional Radiologist for a Locum opportunity in Grass Valley, California . This role offers a balanced mix of hospital-based IR coverage and diagnostic imaging , with strong onsite support and reasonable daily volumes. ⭐ Position Highlights Position Type: Locum Specialty: Interventional Radiology Location: Grass Valley, CA Providers Needed: 1 Shift Schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Weekends & on-call coverage required Coverage Dates: February 23–24 with ongoing coverage Reason for Coverage: Radiologist resignation 🏥 Practice Setting General Acute Care Hospital Stroke-certified facility Support from experienced Radiology nurses & technologists Large regional radiology group provides overflow and after-hours reads EMR: Cerner 🩺 Clinical Responsibilities Hospital IR coverage Stroke CTs, ED & ICU imaging Potential outpatient coverage for contrasted CTs, MRIs & breast biopsies Expected Daily Volume ~50 imaging studies/day ~4–6 IR procedures/day Study Breakdown CTs: 12–15 X-rays: 15–20 Ultrasounds: 8–12 IR procedures: 4–6 (primarily non-complex) 🔧 Required Procedures Lumbar punctures Barium studies Thoracentesis & paracentesis Nephrostomy tubes Abscess drainage Chest tubes Suprapubic catheters CT/US-guided biopsies (thyroid, lung, other) ✅ Candidate Requirements Board Certified or Board Eligible – Interventional Radiology Active California license Completed Residency/Fellowship BLS & DEA (during credentialing) CA Fluoroscopy Permit – required at submission NPDB Self-Query report (dated within 30 days) Availability required at time of name clear 🚫 Dealbreakers: Lack of procedural IR skills Inability to cover acute care imaging (Stroke CTs, ED & ICU) ✈️ Travel Notes Local providers preferred (no flights) Preferred hotel lodging Travel origin city must be disclosed at submission 📄 Submission Requirements Updated CV (including locums history) Provider contact information Availability NPI and/or license number Malpractice/background documentation References (if available) 📩 Interested in this opportunity?
