Quick Facts Location: Springfield Regional Medical Center, Springfield, Ohio Start Date: 08/24/2026 End Date/Duration: 09/18/2026 (potential extension until 2027) Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM and on-call (in-house/beeper) with weekend support Hours/Week: 40+ hours/week Employment Type: Locum License/Certifications: Ohio Nurse Practitioner license required Experience: At least 2+ years in cardiothoracic or vascular surgery preferred Pay & Benefits Pay package discussed upon application Weekly pay via direct deposit Competitive pay (hourly rate: $0.00, to be discussed) Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Paid sick time in accordance with laws Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable What You’ll Do Provide post-operative care for cardiothoracic and vascular patients Assist in emergency surgeries and perform vein harvesting Take consults and referrals from ED, Cath Lab, and hospital providers Assist in surgeries and interpret relevant tests Write prescriptions and coordinate patient care Conduct rounds and interpret diagnostic tests Take part in vascular tissue retrieval and preparation for bypass procedures What You Need Required: Ohio Nurse Practitioner license Experience in cardiothoracic and vascular care, preferably 2+ years Skills in post-op care, emergency procedures, and surgical assistance Ability to interpret tests and perform vein harvesting Preferred: Prior experience in inpatient hospital settings Ability to work independently and collaboratively About the Assignment This assignment is based at a prominent hospital in Springfield, Ohio, requiring coverage to support growing surgical cases.
