🔧 Locum Opportunity: Advanced Surgical PA – Thoracic/Cardiac (Robotics Preferred) 📍 Clinton Twp, MI | 🏥 Level II Trauma Center 💼 OR & Clinic | 4x10s | No Call | High-Level First Assist Role We are actively seeking a highly experienced Physician Assistant (PA) with a strong background in Thoracic Surgery and/or Cardiac OR first assist to support a high-volume program in Clinton Township, MI .

If you're confident in the OR, thrive with autonomy, and have robotic surgery experience, this is a prime opportunity to join a nationally recognized health system. 🗓️ Assignment Details: Start Date: ASAP – Ongoing Schedule: 4x10-hour shifts per week (No call) Setting: OR & Pre-Op Clinic Trauma Level: II Patient Population: Adult only Documentation: EPIC EMR 🔍 Primary Responsibilities: First assist on thoracic procedures (robotic lung resections, foregut surgery) Participate in robot docking and bedside surgical support Conduct pre-op testing and clinic assessments Work autonomously and as part of a high-functioning surgical team Collaborate with attending surgeons, APPs, and clinical staff ✅ Required Qualifications: Board Certified PA (NCCPA) – REQUIRED Active MI license – REQUIRED Significant experience in thoracic OR or cardiac first assist – REQUIRED Robotic surgery experience (foregut/lung resections) – HIGHLY PREFERRED BLS & ACLS certified – REQUIRED Clean background – REQUIRED Credentialing/application fees not reimbursed by client 💡 Client Insight: Candidates with strong cardiac OR experience may be considered if thoracic volume can be offset internally.
