Description A full-time locum tenens opportunity is available for an experienced Physician Assistant specializing in dermatology. This role offers a steady weekday schedule with no call responsibilities, supporting a high-volume outpatient dermatology practice. The provider will primarily work in Clifton Springs, with occasional coverage at an affiliated dermatology clinic within the regional health system.

About the facility This position is based within an acute care hospital that is part of a large, established regional healthcare system in upstate New York. The dermatology department is supported by a collaborative clinical team and utilizes Epic as its electronic medical record system.

Travel expenses reimbursed, including: Mileage Rental car Hotel Flight Malpractice Covered Job Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive outpatient dermatology care Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a variety of skin conditions Perform dermatologic procedures within scope of practice Manage a daily patient volume of approximately 25–35 patients Accurately document patient encounters using Epic EMR Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure continuity of care Provide coverage at a secondary dermatology location as needed Qualifications Board Certified Physician Assistant Active New York license (required at time of submission) Minimum of 3 years of recent dermatology experience Recent Epic EMR experience required Current BLS certification Consistent work history with no gaps exceeding 30 days Working Hours Monday through Friday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM No call requirements Full-time locum assignment (approximately 26 weeks, July through January) Skills Strong dermatology clinical expertise Ability to manage a high-volume patient load efficiently Proficiency in Epic or similar EMR systems Excellent communication and patient care skills Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities Detail-oriented with accurate documentation practices
