Quick Facts Location: 11600 West 2nd Place, Lakewood, CO 80228 Start Date: 12/08/2025 Duration: Ongoing through early 2025, with potential for extension Shift: 24-hour call (7a – 7a) Hours per Week: 5–7 days per month Employment Type: Locum License/Certifications: Colorado Medical License or IMLC, Board Certified/Board Eligible in Gastroenterology, ERCP competency preferred Experience: Minimum experience in inpatient GI procedures and management Pay & Benefits Hourly Pay Rate: Pay package discussed upon application Additional Compensation & Benefits: Orientation: $262.50 (half the hourly rate) after 8 hours On-Call (Daily): Up to $5,200 per 24-hour shift, includes 8 hours gratis Holiday 24-Hour Call: Up to $7,800 per 24 hours, includes 8 hours gratis Call Back (Patient Contact): Up to $525/hour, prorated after gratis hours Holiday Call Back: Up to $787.50, prorated after gratis hours Benefits include malpractice coverage, EMR training, and scheduling flexibility What You'll Do Provide inpatient gastroenterology services including ERCP, EUS, and endoscopy procedures Manage GI bleeding and evaluate complex GI conditions Collaborate with hospital staff for patient care and treatment planning Perform scopes and other GI interventions in a trauma and high-acuity setting Support hospitalist teams with gastroenterology consults Participate in 24/7 trauma and emergency services What You Need Colorado medical license or IMLC activation Board certification or eligibility in Gastroenterology Experience with ERCP, EUS, and advanced endoscopy preferred Proven ability to handle inpatient GI cases and emergencies Strong communication and teamwork skills About the Assignment Join a busy inpatient service at a top hospital in Lakewood, Colorado, with a Level 1 Trauma designation and 24/7 trauma and hospitalist support.
The facility is seeking coverage for scheduled gaps, including December and early 2025, with ongoing needs into 2025. This role involves working with adult and geriatric patients, performing approximately 5–8 scopes daily, and managing both routine and complex GI cases in a fast-paced environment.
