Locum Physician – Neonatology (Night Shift)_ Southfield, MI 48075

Hospital is seeking a fellowship-trained Neonatologist for urgent in-house night coverage on a locum basis. This is a high-priority opening due to the resignation of an existing provider. The role involves comprehensive neonatal care in a Level III NICU with in-house night shifts. Job Responsibilities: Provide in-house overnight neonatal coverage in a Level III NICU Manage NICU patients including admissions, daily care, and transfers Attend C-sections as required Participate in neonatal transfers Provide care for an average daily census of approximately 12 patients Document care using Cerner/PowerChart EMR Collaborate with NICU staff and multidisciplinary teams Qualifications: MD/DO Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Neonatology Fellowship-trained in Neonatology Active Michigan medical license (license must be in hand) Clean background and malpractice history NPDB Self-Query report (within 30 days) BLS, NRP, ACLS certifications Local provider preferred Working Hours: Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM In-house coverage only 4–6 shifts per month Coverage period: March 24, 2026 – December 31, 2026 Skills: Neonatal critical care NICU patient management Neonatal resuscitation C-section attendance Neonatal transport management Strong clinical judgment in acute settings EMR documentation (Cerner/PowerChart)
