🦴 Locum Rheumatologist – MD

• Seeking a Locum Rheumatologist for outpatient clinic coverage • Full-time in-person assignment • No remote or telehealth option • Approximately 6 shifts per week required • Variable clinic sessions with approximately 4 hours of patient-facing time per session • Approximately 18 patients per day • Annual clinic volume of approximately 2,000 visits • Provider will work alongside two Rheumatologists & more than 10 Orthopedic providers • No APP coverage within the Rheumatology department • EPIC EMR utilized Job Responsibilities: • Provide outpatient rheumatology consultations & follow-up care • Evaluate, diagnose & manage rheumatologic conditions • Develop individualized treatment plans • Conduct patient assessments during scheduled clinic sessions • Coordinate care with Rheumatologists & Orthopedic providers • Provide rotating evening call coverage • Provide approximately 1 in 3 weekend call coverage • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in EPIC • Provide care in accordance with clinical privileges & practice standards Qualifications: • MD degree required • Board Certified in Rheumatology • Active Massachusetts medical license required • Flu vaccination required with no exceptions or waivers • Current or most recent direct supervisor reference required • Ability to provide in-person clinic coverage • Prior locum/travel experience preferred • EPIC experience preferred Working Hours: • Monday–Friday clinic schedule • Clinic hours between 7:00 AM–5:00 PM • Variable clinic sessions • Approximately 4 hours of patient-facing time per session • Must be available for 6 shifts weekly • Rotating evening call • Approximately 1 in 3 weekends on call • In-person coverage only Skills: • Rheumatologic disease evaluation & management • Outpatient consultation • Diagnostic assessment • Treatment planning • Chronic disease management • Patient education • Care coordination • EPIC EMR proficiency • Clinical documentation • Independent decision making
