Brattleboro, VT | OB/GYN Locums | IMLC Accepted Quick Highlights Specialty: OB/GYN Location: Brattleboro, Vermont Start Date: August 15, 2026 Call-Only Opportunity Flexible 12-Hour and 24-Hour Call Shifts IMLC Accepted Full-Spectrum OB/GYN Practice Collaborative Midwifery and Physician Support Required Licenses & Certifications Licensure Active Vermont license required OR Active IMLC participation with Vermont eligibility Providers willing to obtain Vermont licensure will be considered Board Requirements Board Certified OB/GYN required Certifications BLS (AHA) required NRP required Availability Needed Coverage begins August 15, 2026 Ongoing and variable call needs due to staffing shortage Call Schedule Options 24-Hour Call: 8:00 AM – 8:00 AM Day Call: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM Night Call: 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM Practice Overview Hospital-employed OB/GYN practice Full-spectrum women's health program Call-only coverage assignment Community-based practice with strong physician support Collaborative environment with Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs) Provider Support Physician Coverage 1 Full-Time OB/GYN 1 GYN Physician (non-call) 1 PRN OB/GYN Advanced Practice Support 4 Certified Nurse Midwives who frequently take primary call Clinical Support Dedicated medical assistant when working in clinic Triage nurse support Labor & delivery nursing staff based on census Patient & Delivery Statistics Clinic Volume Average clinic volume: 14–16 patients per day Obstetric Mix 50% Low-Risk Obstetrics 50% High-Risk Obstetrics Gynecology Mix Approximately 60% Gynecology Delivery & Surgical Statistics Approximately 25% C-Section rate 3–5 GYN surgeries per week Average of 1 nursery admission per day Facility Details 7-bed birth center Level I Nursery Non-Trauma Center On-site laboratory On-site ultrasound services Cerner CommunityWorks EMR Required Clinical Experience Obstetrics Low-risk pregnancy management Fetal heart rate interpretation (NST, CST, FSE) OB ultrasound performance and interpretation Viability and Level I obstetric ultrasounds Labor & Delivery Routine vaginal deliveries Forceps-assisted deliveries C-Section decision-making and performance Breech deliveries Multiple gestations Placental abruption management VBAC management Repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations Gynecology IUD placement Colposcopy Cryosurgery LEEP procedures Cystoscopy D&C procedures Open gynecologic surgery Laparoscopic gynecologic procedures Ectopic pregnancy management Ovarian surgery and cystectomy Complex adhesiolysis procedures Ideal Candidate Board-Certified OB/GYN Vermont licensed, IMLC eligible, or willing to obtain licensure Comfortable providing independent call coverage Experienced in full-spectrum OB/GYN care Skilled in both obstetric and gynecologic surgical procedures Comfortable managing a mix of low- and high-risk obstetric patients Interested in ongoing call coverage within a collaborative community hospital setting Allow RecruitWell to set up a phone call with you and the client to discuss more!
