This ongoing opportunity offers day and night shifts with a broad mix of medical complaints and lower-acuity trauma while working alongside experienced nursing staff and on-call specialists.

Assignment Details Start Date: ASAP Assignment Length: Ongoing Need Schedule: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM 7:00 PM–7:00 AM Coverage Requirements: On-site emergency department coverage Call coverage Weekend coverage Night coverage Orientation: Two shadow shifts Position Highlights Full-time coverage need Ongoing assignment Community Emergency Department setting Day and night shifts available Broad Emergency Medicine case mix Experienced support staff EM Residency Trained required Clinical Details & Responsibilities Practice Setting: Emergency Department Patient Volume: Average daily census: 55–60 patients Approximately 2 patients per hour Occasional higher-volume surges (8+ patients in one hour) Patient Population: Adult Emergency Medicine Common Cases: Chest pain Abdominal pain Shortness of breath Basic trauma Falls Motor vehicle accidents Sports injuries Rare severe or penetrating trauma Clinical Responsibilities: Evaluate, diagnose, and treat Emergency Department patients Perform required emergency procedures Manage medical and trauma-related complaints Provide procedural sedation Perform airway management Stabilize critically ill patients Collaborate with nursing staff and on-call specialists Provide appropriate patient disposition and documentation Required Procedures Including but not limited to: Intubation Procedural sedation Fracture reduction and splinting Chest tube placement CPR Laceration repair Incision and drainage Central line placement Support & Technology Support Staff: Nursing staff On-call specialists Requirements Emergency Medicine Residency Trained required ABEM preferred Strong experienced providers may be considered without ABEM certification Credentialing Please inquire for current credentialing timeline.
