Locums - Winona, Minnesota | CRNA Opportunity Clinical Role Join an established CRNA-only anesthesia practice in Winona, Minnesota, providing independent anesthesia services in a rural hospital setting. This locums opportunity offers a broad case mix, autonomous practice, and the opportunity to work within a collaborative anesthesia team. Assignment Details Start Date: ASAP – Approximately 45 days from accepted offer Contract Length: Three months with option to extend Coverage Requirements: Two full-time equivalent providers needed Minimum availability of two weeks per month plus one weekend of call required Schedule: Monday through Friday clinical coverage with weekday call Weekday shifts: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM Weekday call: 3:00 PM – 7:00 AM Weekend and holiday call: Typically one in four rotation Weekend shifts: 24-hour call coverage from 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM Providers must be able to respond within 30 minutes when on call Position Highlights CRNA-only practice model with no physician oversight Independent anesthesia practice Broad procedural and surgical case mix Rural hospital setting DaVinci robotic surgery program Extension opportunity available Cerner/Oracle EMR system Clinical Details & Responsibilities Practice Setting: Rural hospital 49-bed facility Independent CRNA practice model Department Information: Four core operating rooms Dedicated endoscopy suite C-suite procedural area One flex operating room DaVinci robotic surgery platform available Patient Population: Primarily adult and geriatric patients Light pediatric volume, primarily dental and laparoscopic procedures Patient Volume: Typically three to five cases per day depending on operating room volume Clinical Responsibilities: Independent anesthesia management Preoperative evaluations Intraoperative anesthesia care Post-anesthesia management Call coverage responsibilities Emergency and obstetric anesthesia services Required Clinical Experience & Procedures: Orthopedic surgery including total joints, spine, and sports procedures General surgery Plastic surgery including cosmetic and reconstructive procedures Podiatry Obstetric anesthesia Approximately 35–50 cesarean deliveries annually Ophthalmology procedures including cataracts Neuraxial anesthesia including: Spinal anesthesia Epidural anesthesia Combined spinal-epidural anesthesia Peripheral nerve blocks General anesthesia Obstetric anesthesia management Support & Technology Support Staff: Three to four CRNAs typically scheduled daily Two pediatric CRNAs available on Fridays Collaborative anesthesia team EMR System: Cerner/Oracle Requirements NBCRNA Certification – Required Active Minnesota License – Required DEA Registration – Required BLS Certification – Required ACLS Certification – Required PALS Certification – Required Neonatal Resuscitation Certification – Required Minimum two years of CRNA experience – Required Experience with nerve blocks – Required Obstetric anesthesia experience – Required General anesthesia experience – Required Spinal anesthesia experience – Required Pediatric anesthesia experience – Preferred Rural healthcare experience – Strongly preferred Ability to practice independently in a CRNA-only model – Required Organization & Team Established CRNA-only anesthesia department Collaborative team environment Independent practice model Broad surgical service line support Ongoing staffing opportunity with extension potential About Winona, Minnesota Location & Access: Winona is located in southeastern Minnesota along the Mississippi River, offering scenic beauty and convenient access to Rochester, Minneapolis-St.
