What You'll Be Doing You'll be delivering delivering countertops and surfaces to business and residential customers throughout Derby and the surrounding region. You'll normally work from an established delivery route, making deliveries within approximately a 75-mile radius . Your day will typically involve: Driving a large commercial van on established delivery routes Delivering countertops and worktops to customers Approximately up to 10 main deliveries per day Loading and unloading countertops Providing a professional service to customers Keeping in contact with the transport team throughout your shift Some countertops can be large or heavy , so you must be comfortable with a reasonably physical delivery role and handling items safely using the equipment provided.
What We're Looking For This role would suit an experienced Van Driver, Delivery Driver, Multi Drop Driver or Automotive Parts Driver looking for reliable weekday work. You'll need: Full UK driving licence held for at least 2 years No more than 6 penalty points Confidence driving larger commercial vans Previous commercial van or delivery driving experience Good communication and customer service skills Reliable attendance and timekeeping Confidence completing vehicle checks and delivery paperwork To be comfortable with the physical aspects of the role Six months' commercial van driving experience is preferred, but we're particularly interested in reliable drivers with the right attitude and relevant delivery experience.
