Licensed Practical Nurse / Licensed Vocational Nurse – Medication Administration Schedule Shift: 5:30 AM – 1:30 PM (40 Hour Guarantee) Job Description A detail-oriented and empathetic Licensed Practical Nurse / Licensed Vocational Nurse is needed to dispense prescribed medications as part of a treatment team. This role requires collaboration with Physicians and Nursing Supervisors in a Substance Use Disorder treatment environment.
Responsibilities Administer daily medication to patients in accordance with program policy and medical protocols. Use automated dispensing systems, calibrate pumps, and maintain dispensing equipment. Produce and maintain appropriate records and reports as required by company protocol, federal and state regulations. Ensure compliance with security standards for the distribution and storage of controlled substances.
Order, receive, and stock medication in accordance with DEA and state regulations (if granted Power of Attorney). Provide daily assessment of patients. Assist Nursing Supervisor in orienting new nursing staff. Perform other related duties as determined by supervisor. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure 1+ years of medication administration experience – Required Experience in an Opioid Addiction Center – Highly Preferred BLS Certification – Required Skills Checklist – Required Two Supervisory Reference Forms – Required Why ARMStaffing?
