Oxon is a large primary school with approximately 420 children on roll. It is situated on the western side of Shrewsbury in an area that has seen a considerable number of new houses built in the last thirty years. Over that time the school has grown from two classes to fourteen classes. A willingness to undertake a first aid qualification is an important requirement for this post. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such all applicants who are appointed to this post will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure from the Criminal Records Bureau before the appointment is confirmed.
This check will include details of cautions, reprimands or warnings, as well as convictions and non-conviction information. Once provisionally appointed, the successful applicant(s) may also be required to apply for an Enhanced Disclosure at predetermined intervals during the course of their employment whilst in this post. This post would involve supervising children during lunchtime. The post would be for 7.5 hours per week. This would involve working each day from 11.45am - 1.15pm. The hours would be paid at Grade 1.
