Maintenance Electrician Ketton Site | £57,000 - £59,000 depending on experience + Benefits | 12-Hour Shift Pattern Are you an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer or Electrician looking for your next challenge? At Heidelberg Materials, we're looking for a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our team at our Ketton site. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a wide range of heavy industrial equipment, develop your technical expertise, and play a key role in keeping our operation running safely and efficiently.
The Role As a Maintenance Electrician, you'll be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving a variety of electrical systems across our site. Your work will directly contribute to maximising plant reliability, reducing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. What You'll Be Doing Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults on industrial plant and equipment Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance activities Maintaining and testing LV and HV electrical systems Supporting plant improvement projects and equipment upgrades Working with motors, drives, switchgear, transformers, and control systems Fault-finding on PLC and automation systems Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with relevant regulations and site procedures What We're Looking For We're keen to hear from candidates with experience in industrial electrical maintenance, manufacturing, heavy industry, utilities, power generation, quarrying, cement, steel, chemical, FMCG, or similar environments.
You will ideally have: Electrical Engineering qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) Experience working on industrial electrical systems Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills Knowledge of motors, drives, controls, and instrumentation Experience of LV/HV systems (training can be provided for the right candidate) A proactive approach to safety and continuous improvement Skills & Qualifications Trained in HV/LV systems (essential) City & Guilds qualification in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) ONC / HNC / HND (desirable) Strong fault-finding and diagnostic experience Knowledge of industrial plant, controls, and instrumentation Why Join us?
