Job Description Summary:Performs all maintenance activities in compliance with regulatory requirements and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs). Performs preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance on facility equipment, machinery, and building systems. Responsibilities: Performs electrical troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment as necessaryPerforms mechanical troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment as necessaryPerforms preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and systems as scheduled or as neededPerforms corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and systems as requiredCommunicates effectively to ensure accurate communication and completion of work assignmentsWorks safely to avoid injuries, accidents, and contamination of productsMaintains proper documentation for work performedConducts equipment inspections to identify any adverse trends or potential safety hazardsReports issues to supervisor and/or other appropriate personnelAdheres to cGMPs and established FDA regulationsOther duties as assignedQualifications: High school diploma or equivalent experiencePrior manufacturing experience preferred4+ years of experience in automated conveyors systems and controls, electrical and electronic principles, preventative maintenance procedures, blueprint and schematic reading, industrial electrical, industrial controls, industrial electronics, Programmable Logic Control (PLC) programs, National Electrical Code (NEC), work order managementExperience using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) to plan proactive maintenance and record reactive tasks.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsBasic knowledge of electrical theory and operationBasic knowledge of pneumatic systemsFamiliarity with hand tools and basic powered toolsWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office applicationsExcellent problem-solving skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs., climb stairs and ladders, bend, reach, push, pull, enter confined spaces, and wear harnessAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to work overtime as required (both during the week and on weekends)At BD, we prioritize on-site collaboration because we believe it fosters creativity, innovation, and effective problem-solving, which are essential in the fast-paced healthcare industry.
