Post: Male Care Assistant  Salary:  Grade 1 - £24,413 -  £24,796 FTE (£19,006.12 - £19,304.30 pro rata). The Hive College is based in Erdington, Birmingham and is a Specialist Further Education College for learners aged 19-25 years with Special Educational Needs and disabilities. In November 2023 we were graded Outstanding in every single aspect of an Ofsted Inspection. Our adopted college motto is ‘Believing is achieving’ , which resonates through everything we do at The Hive and it’s at the heart of what we want our students to aspire to.

As part of our on-going development of a highly successful specialist college, we have a Male Care Assistant vacancy to join our team of professional and dedicated people. Our study programmes focus on preparation for adulthood, which include: Employment Independent living Good health Friends, relationships and community The right candidate will have: The ability to work as part of a team assisting in the personal care and management of male students with a physical disabilities and/or medical conditions.

Actively contributes to a happy safe and supportive environment. Experience of and the ability to deal positively with young adults with SEND. Communication skills to positively and effectively communicate with students and listen to them. The ability to support our values and ethos and be a positive role model. A flexible and positive approach to challenge and change. The ability to show initiative and work independently.
