We are looking for a Marketing Buyer to join the Procurement Team. The Procurement Function consists of approx. 19 colleagues across the UK, US and Denmark, split across 3 sub-teams - Sourcing, Contracts & Governance, and Special Projects. Whilst each team has their own specific responsibilities, the team work together in a highly collaborative environment to support the delivery of joint objectives.
The Marketing Function drives growth by winning more members at the right cost, increasing member lifetime value through engagement and retention, and building a category-leading brand, The Marketing Buyer is a new role which will sit within the Procurement function, but focused on supporting the Marketing function, supporting their procurement needs on a daily basis. The Marketing Buyer's role is to ensure PureGym spends its marketing budget effectively, efficiently and economically, achieving value for money whilst reducing risk via a sustainable supply chain, and ultimately securing the delivery of high-quality goods / services..
The Marketing Buyer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating and managing supplier contracts for the Marketing function - including agencies, media suppliers, production suppliers and tech partners. Key responsibilities / activities include: Lead procurement activities, including but not limited to RFIs, RFPs, benchmarking activities and direct supplier negotiations. This includes the end-to-end process management / facilitation, comprising of bid / quote solicitation, negotiation, contracting, governance, approvals and supplier mobilization.
Provide support to Procurement Managers on complex, strategic procurement activities. Ensure contract compliance, working with the Procurement Governance Manager to mitigate Supply Chain risk. Manage existing contract renewals and variations, negotiating favourable terms and facilitating approvals and signatures for all ongoing Marketing requirements. Develop strong and credible relationships with stakeholders across the Marketing function, becoming the 'go to' person for any procurement / commercial matter, effectively becoming an extension of the Marketing team.
Provide support and sound commercial advice to stakeholders on all procurement matters - including but not limited to procurement governance / process, supplier performance / management, supplier escalations. Ensure procurement activity follows policy, compliance and approval processes. Maintain supplier records, contract database and trackers for Marketing specific suppliers. Actively contribute to ensure the team meet all Procurement KPIs - including financial savings / benefits, contract compliance, sourcing compliance etc.
This is a hybrid role, with time being split across home working and the Leeds office. There will be a need to travel to the London office on an ad-hoc basis, and the requirement for occasional international travel (within Europe), up to 4 times per year. Proactive, driven and willing to take the lead on their own projects / initiatives. Adaptable and comfortable working at pace in a fast moving and dynamic environment.
