VACANT POST NOTICE MARKETING OFFICER About The Sir Arthur Lewis Community College Sir Arthur Lewis Community College, the premier tertiary learning institution in Saint Lucia and the Eastern Caribbean, was established in 1985 and named after the world-famous economist and Nobel Laureate, Sir William Arthur Lewis. The College offers a wide range of cutting-edge and globally relevant academic and technical programmes from Bachelor’s and Associate degrees to TVET and Executive and Leadership training.
Our programmes are undergirded by three main pillars: Sustainability, Innovation and Entrepreneurship. These goals are in keeping with the Government of Saint Lucia’s commitment to the implementation of the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals. The College has two campuses (Main Campus at Morne Fortune, Castries and South Campus in Vieux Fort) and an Experimental Farm in Dennery. The College is governed by a Board of Governors and a Management Team led by the Principal and Vice Principals.
The Management Team includes Deans and Department Heads that manage the day-to-day operations of the institution, its faculty members and supporting staff members. Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the position of Marketing Officer at the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College (SALCC). Job Summary The Marketing Officer will support the marketing team with planning, executing and tracking marketing programs, and the development of new marketing strategies.
Responsibilities include analyzing data to monitor campaigns and evaluate results, creating and managing the production of marketing collateral, help with the organization of events, and providing project-specific administrative support. Qualifications And Experience At least Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or Public Relations or a related field with over three (3) years experience.
Proficiency in MS Office, an understanding of media relations and digital media strategies. Required SKILLS AND OTHER ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED Strong practical and organizational skills with the ability to manage your own workload; Proficient in Microsoft Office; Adobe Suite and Digital Productivity Tools Understanding of media relations and digital media strategies; Editing and researching skills; Preparation of visual for web and print; Effective use of social media to create marketing campaigns to a range of target audiences; A thorough, meticulous approach; Excellent interpersonal Skills; The ability to work using own initiative, Strong attention to detail; Outstanding written and oral communication; Strong organizational and problemsolving skills and the ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines; Strong knowledge and understanding of current trends in digital and social media; Excellent project and time management skills.
Core Functions And Main Responsibilities To support the development of annual marketing plans and creative promotional campaigns; To carry out market research; Carry out analysis on current market condition and competitors, information; Manage research and development of content for publication of services; Help implement marketing and communication strategies; Develop and execute marketing plans and projects for new and existing products; Develop and implement strategy to enhance the College’s brand; Provide administrative support to programs and internal teams; Draft and edit press releases, publication, social media posts, etc.; Advertise SALCC and its products and services; Ensure that all brand activity has a common aim; driven and guided by the brands benefits; Track projects and media exposure; Assist with the coordination of sponsored events or programs; Maintain calendars and appointments; Monitor SALCC’s website and social media pages and address queries; Proofing of design materials; Help support the internal communications campaigns across the College through publishing of alerts, production and distribution of posters and flyer
