Mechanical engineer

As a Maintenance Craftsperson you will provide support services for the routine and/or non-routine repair, maintenance and operation of a wide range of building services, equipment and systems across the whole range of Buildings and equipment maintained by the Trust. The Maintenance Craftsperson will also perform a range of planned tasks, inputting data into computer based systems and liaise as necessary with Trust Management, nursing, other support staff and contractors to ensure optimal operation of all building services, plant and equipment., Carry out installation, repair and maintenance work on the building fabric and a wide range of mechanical/electrical building services plant and equipment in accordance with relevant Health Technical Memoranda, Water Bylaws, British Standards, Codes of Practice and Legislation.

Actively participate in the operation of the Planned Preventative Maintenance system completing worksheets and logbooks relevant to those tasks. Undertake the full range of Maintenance Craftsperson duties, using hand and power tools and test equipment. Understand the workings, being able to diagnose and repair faults, of the mechanical and/or electrical/electronic and/or plumbing systems in buildings and properties belonging to the Trust.
