Job DescriptionPosition SummaryThe Manufacturing Equipment Technician is responsible for operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining production equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operations.This role plays a critical part in minimizing downtime, supporting continuous production, and driving process improvements. The ideal candidate brings strong mechanical aptitude, hands-on problem-solving skills, and experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesEquipment OperationSet up, operate, and monitor production equipment to meet established quality and output standardsPerform line changeovers and clearance activities in accordance with proceduresMaintain continuous equipment operation and respond to production demandsMaintenance & TroubleshootingDiagnose and resolve equipment issues, including mechanical repairs and part replacementPerform preventative maintenance (PM) and support repair activities during scheduled downtimeCollaborate with engineering, controls, and technical teams on complex issuesQuality & ComplianceMonitor product quality and ensure adherence to specifications and GMP requirementsEscalate quality or performance issues to Quality and production leadershipMaintain accurate production and system documentation (SAP/MES, scrap, output, etc.)Continuous ImprovementIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and equipment reliabilitySupport equipment modifications, validations, and testing activitiesMaintain familiarity with work instructions, SOPs, and controlled documentationTeam CollaborationCommunicate effectively across shifts to ensure smooth operations and handoffsSupport and train operators on equipment use, safety, and best practicesMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentAdditional ResponsibilitiesParticipate in safety initiatives and root cause investigationsSupport overtime, call-ins, and off-shift troubleshooting as neededAssist technical teams with equipment upgrades and process trialsMinimum QualificationsHigh School diploma/GED OR 2 years of industrial/manufacturing related experienceStrong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience with automated or high-speed manufacturing equipmentExposure to PLC-controlled systemsKnowledge of GMP or regulated manufacturing environmentsLean manufacturing or continuous improvement experienceWork Environment & Schedule12-hour night shift (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)Requires standing, lifting, and working with production equipment#earlycareer#BDCLO#CLOLIWhy Join Us?To find purpose in the possibilities, we need people who can see the bigger picture, who understand the human story that underpins everything we do.
