Infectious Disease Physician experience a necessity. Must hold a valid MD/DO Medical Board Certified license; Active DEA & Furnishing license; Comfortable with seeing 14–18 patients daily. Job Description – Medical Director / Physician Infectious Disease / Family Practice / Internal Medicine Physician Our Healthcare Center Wellness Clinic is searching for a Medical Director (Family Practice, Internal Medicine, or Infectious Disease Physician) for our outpatient facility in Naples, FL.

You will be a part of a fully staffed, mission-oriented team committed to serving the local community. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Medical professionals in this role must deliver excellent care, meet productivity goals, and collaborate with the healthcare team to promote patient well-being. Reasonable accommodations are available for persons with disabilities to perform key responsibilities.

Handle a minimum of 14 patients during an 8-hour shift (or 7 patients in a half-day session). Patient targets are adjusted for longer shifts accordingly. Supervise patient schedules to reduce no-shows and meet productivity standards. Ensure timely documentation on the same day of the visit or within 72 hours, including accurate E&M billing codes. Provide primary care services for chronic conditions (e.g., hypertension, diabetes, asthma, hyperlipidemia, COPD) and acute issues (e.g., burns, infections, HIV, STIs, UTIs, respiratory illnesses, etc.).

HIV management is not the sole focus. Collaborate with reception, care coordinators, and nursing staff to handle urgent care and walk-in patients. Review consultant reports, imaging, and lab findings promptly. Process prescription refills within 72 hours. Check and respond to voicemails/emails daily. Support patient retention initiatives (e.g., preparing retention summaries). Oversee mid-level providers (PAs and NPs), including legally required chart reviews or audits.

Provide after-hours on-call coverage as assigned. Full-time physicians receive 4 hours of protected administrative time per week per policy. Qualifications Must possess an MD or DO with an active, state-specific medical license. Must hold a valid DEA registration and Furnishing License. Prior outpatient primary care experience is a must. Able to manage 14–18 patients daily in a supported setting. CPR/BLS certification must be current.

Education & Skills Doctorate (M.D. or D.O.); board certification is preferred. Strong ability to interpret and apply clinical, legal, and technical information. Effective communication skills for patient interactions, documentation, and presentations. Strong organizational skills with a focus on timely documentation and patient follow-up. Mathematical/Analytical Skills: Proficient in applying ratios, percentages, and statistical reasoning to clinical and operational requirements.

Reasoning Ability: Advanced critical thinking skills to handle practical and abstract challenges in patient care and clinic operations.
