of Beds: 220+ Trauma Level: III EMR: Epic Specialty Backup: Full multispecialty support including Cardiology, General Surgery, Neurology, Infectious Disease, Rehabilitation, Hospice, Pediatrics, and additional medical specialties Support Staff: Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), Nursing Staff, and Ancillary Support Reason for Coverage: Staff Leaving PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Temporary/Emergency Privileges Available: No Credentialing Timeline: 60–90 days COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Included REQUIRED PROCEDURES Medical Oncology patient management Order entry within the Vemsta platform Case logs required for credentialing JOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses: Active IN License or IMLC Board: BC in Hematology & Oncology At least 2 years or experience DEA: Active DEA BLS (AHA) Certifications: BLS required, ACLS required only if requesting conscious sedation privileges Experience: Oncology experience Case logs required Other Qualifications: Flu vaccination required (or approved medical/religious exemption) COVID-19 vaccination required (or approved medical/religious exemption) Must enter work hours in the Vemsta platform Must complete order entry as the locum provider DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide inpatient oncology care Evaluate and manage oncology patients during scheduled clinical hours Participate in night and weekend telephone call rotation Collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers and provide physician support as needed Travel to outreach clinic locations in Winchester and Hagerstown for scheduled coverage Provider must be able to provide 4 weeks coverage in a month
