We are looking for an individual to complete the roles of the midday supervisor. The successful candidate will supervise and ensure the safety and wellbeing of pupils during the lunchtime period of 12:00-13:00. For further information, please contact the Headteacher, Miss Sioned Morris via the following email; [email protected]., Main Purpose of the Position: Supervise lunchtimes Principal Responsibilities: Supervise toileting and washroom activity.
Escort children to and from dining room. Supervise collection of meals and assist with use of cutlery. Assist pupils when returning used plates, trays, cutlery, glasses/beakers and clearing tables. Supervise pupils eating food brought from home and ensure packed lunch equipment is cleared away. Supervise classroom and outside activities, encouraging inclusion. Ensure orderly return to classroom. Attend to minor accidents or to pupils who become ill.
Report to Headteacher or other designated person in charge if accident occurs or if pupil falls ill and record accidents on the accident form. Monitor pupil behaviour, intervening as necessary in accordance with behaviour policy. Report to Headteacher or other designated person in charge any breaches of school rules/incidents with children (completing incident form as necessary and in consultation with Headteacher or other designated person in charge).
Literacy skills to be able to understand school policies and complete accident form. Be able to understand, comply and work within policies: e.g. school behaviour policy, child protection policy, health and safety, equality policies, confidentiality and other school rules. Be aware of cultural differences. Welsh language skills are essential. First Aid training desirable. This position has a requirement for an Enhanced DBS Check The job requirements are detailed below.
