Key Responsibilities Attend to mechanical and electrical breakdowns and restore equipment to operational condition. Diagnose recurring machine faults and identify underlying/root causes. Maintain moulding, assembly, printing, conveying and ancillary production equipment. Maintain and repair motors, gearboxes, bearings, belts, chains and shafts. Conduct electrical fault-finding on panels, sensors, contactors, relays and motor circuits.

Maintain and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Establish and maintain preventative maintenance schedules. Conduct planned maintenance, servicing and equipment inspections. Maintain accurate machine and equipment registers. Record breakdowns, repairs, parts used and downtime. Identify critical spare parts and assist with determining appropriate stock levels. Liaise with machine suppliers and specialist contractors when required.

Support machine installations, relocations and commissioning activities. Maintain high standards of housekeeping and ensure maintenance activities do not introduce contamination or safety risks. Required Skills & Experience Recognised Millwright Trade Test Certificate. Matric or equivalent qualification. Minimum 3 years' post-trade experience in a production or manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding capabilities.

Practical experience with three-phase motors and industrial electrical systems. Experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings. Ability to work independently and effectively during equipment breakdowns. Basic computer literacy and ability to maintain accurate maintenance records. Willingness to work overtime and provide after-hours breakdown support when reasonably required.
