Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Mining Engineer with 8-10 years of hands-on experience in mine planning, mine development, project execution, and regulatory compliance within mineral mining operations. The incumbent will be responsible for leading mine planning and development activities across a diversified portfolio of mining assets, including Quartzite and Graphite-Vanadium projects in Uttarakhand and Arunachal Pradesh (India), and Cu-Ni-Co-PGE-Au mineral projects in Finland.
The role requires close coordination with internal and external stakeholders to ensure safe, environmentally sustainable, regulatory-compliant, and economically viable mining operations. The position will play a key role in advancing projects from exploration and resource evaluation through mine development and production planning, while supporting the Company's strategic growth objectives. As part of the Company's ambitious expansion plans, additional mining and mineral development projects may be incorporated into the portfolio over time.
The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in resource estimation and classification, geological and mine modelling, mine planning software, project management, regulatory approvals, contractor management, and stakeholder engagement, with the ability to manage multiple projects across different geographies and stages of development. Key Responsibilities Mine Planning & Development ● Develop conceptual, pre-feasibility, feasibility, and operational mine plans.
● Design and optimize open-pit and/or underground mining methods as applicable. ● Prepare short-term, medium-term, and long-term production plans. ● Develop mine development schedules, production forecasts, and Life-of-Mine (LOM) plans. ● Coordinate drilling, blasting, hauling, waste management, and infrastructure development activities. ● Support mine startup and operational readiness planning. Geological & Resource Management ● Collaborate with geologists in exploration program planning and execution.
● Review drilling data, geological interpretations, and resource models. ● Participate in mineral resource estimation and classification as per international reporting standards. ● Validate geological, geotechnical, and hydrogeological data for mine design inputs. ● Ensure integration of geological models into mine planning processes.Mine Modelling & Technical Studies ● Build and maintain mine planning and resource models.
● Conduct pit optimization, scheduling, and production simulations. ● Evaluate mine layouts, infrastructure requirements, and operational alternatives. ● Prepare technical reports, due diligence studies, and investment presentations. Project Management ● Lead mining projects from exploration support through mine development and production. ● Manage project scope, schedule, budgets, risks, and resources.
● Coordinate consultants, contractors, and service providers. ● Monitor project milestones, reporting progress and mitigation plans to management. ● Support procurement and mobilization of mining equipment and services. Regulatory Compliance & Permitting ● Ensure compliance with mining laws, environmental regulations, and statutory requirements. ● Support preparation and submission of mine plans, modifications, and statutory returns.
● Liaise with regulatory authorities for approvals, inspections, and compliance matters. ● Maintain all mining and project documentation required by regulatory bodies. Health, Safety & Sustainability ● Promote a strong safety culture and adherence to HSE standards. ● Participate in risk assessments and incident investigations. ● Support environmental management plans and mine closure planning.
● Ensure sustainable mining practices and regulatory compliance.
