Equans is looking for a Mobile Water Treatment Technician (Tier 3) to join our team working on our contract with Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals. The mobile role will cover the Hospitals on the contract as well as travelling to other areas in the West Midlands region from time to time . This is a permanent, full-time role, working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle and benefits package.
What will you deliver? Representing EQUANS Water Compliance as a Tier 3 Water Treatment Technician/Engineer to execute the self-delivery of all Water hygiene/treatment services Duties include but not limited to; Temperature Monitoring, Showerhead Descales, Cold Water Storage Tank Inspections and Cleans, TMV Servicing, Water Sampling LTHW System Onsite Technical Testing and Analysis of samples to include all parameters as per BSRIA BG50.
The ability to interpret results and make suitable recommendations Dosing of Chemicals (Inhibitor and Biocide) into closed systems using dosing pot method or injection Cooling System Onsite Technical Testing and Analysis. The ability to interpret results and make suitable recommendations Steam Boiler Testing and Analysis. The ability to interpret results and make suitable recommendations Water Softener Servicing and Disinfection Plumbing Remedial Works, to include but not limited to: Deadleg removal, TMV Replacements or Installations including pipework modifications, Point of Use Water Heater Replacements, Flexible Hose Replacement or Hard piping, Expansion Vessel Installations or Rotations, Internal Calorifier Inspections, Cold Water Storage Tanks Remedials What can we offer you?

Relevant qualifications and/or experience dependant on role Legionella Awareness Training including extensive Knowledge of Regulations/Byelaws, L8 ACOP, HSG274 and any other relevant guidance Extensive Knowledge of Water Hygiene and Water Treatment service delivery requirements based on Table 2.1 HSG274 Part 2 and Appendix 3.1 HSG274 Part 3 Experience in water hygiene/treatment City and Guilds or NVQ level 2 equivalent qualification relevant to Plumbing, Heating (Closed Loops) or Chemistry (Desirable) Valid driving licence This role includes a DBS Enhanced with Barred Lists therefore ability to pass is essential.
