Multimodal Operations Controller – Imports & Exports

Key Responsibilities Full operational handling of multimodal shipments (sea, air, and road) from start to finish. Coordinate bookings, consolidations, and shipment scheduling. Liaise with carriers, freight forwarders, and customs authorities. Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and customs requirements. Prepare and review documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, airway bills).

Track cargo movements and provide proactive updates to stakeholders. Resolve operational issues promptly to maintain service levels. Maintain accurate records and update logistics systems (CargoWise or similar). Support process improvements and efficiency initiatives. Requirements 3–5 years’ experience in multimodal freight operations (imports and exports). Strong knowledge of sea, air, and road freight processes.

Solid understanding of customs regulations and documentation requirements. Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to manage multiple files under pressure with attention to detail. Proficiency in MS Office and logistics systems (CargoWise or similar advantageous). Independent worker with strong team collaboration skills. Competencies Detail‑oriented and methodical approach.
