Oakland, CA — Vascular Surgery Trauma Call Coverage

We are seeking a Board-Certified Vascular Surgeon for a locum tenens position in Oakland, CA . This opportunity provides vascular surgery trauma call coverage at a Level I Trauma Center , with a need for both weekend and weeknight beeper call coverage. Please see below for more information. • Level I Trauma Center • EMR: Epic Job Responsibilities: Provide vascular surgery beeper call coverage for weeknight and weekend shifts Cover weekend 24-hour beeper call from 7:00a–7:00a Cover weeknight beeper call from 5:00p–7:00a as assigned Manage vascular surgery consults, emergencies, and trauma-related cases while on call Provide coverage for a fluctuating patient census, with higher volume generally expected during summer months Must be comfortable with vascular trauma surgery, vascular call, and open surgery Support facility coverage needs with a minimum of 4 shifts per month Qualifications: Board Certified in Vascular Surgery required Active California medical license required California DEA required Fluoroscopy certification required ACLS required Level I or Level II trauma experience required Level I trauma experience strongly preferred Must have experience working vascular trauma call Must be comfortable with vascular and open surgery Working Hours: Weekend call: 24-hour beeper call, 7:00a–7:00a Weeknight call: 5:00p–7:00a Coverage need: approximately 50% weeknight and 50% weekend coverage Estimated need: around 2 weekends/month and 3 weeknights/week Providers must be willing to cover a minimum of 4 shifts/month Start date: 9/7/2026 Facility & Practice Details Practice setting: Hospital Department: Level I Trauma Center Patient census fluctuates and is generally busier during summer Epic EMR Credentialing timeframe: 90–120 days For more information and to apply, please apply via the DocCafe link, or use my direct contact info below.
