Location: Chambersburg, PA Start Date: As soon as credentialed (target: June 22, 2026) Duration: Through 03/31/2027 (full-time ongoing) Positions Available: 4 Position Overview Seeking a Hematology/Oncology Physician to join a busy, established Cancer Institute serving Chambersburg and surrounding facilities. This is a full-time locum opportunity combining outpatient clinic care, infusion oversight, and inpatient oncology/hematology consults.

This role offers strong clinical support, structured clinic workflows, and shared call coverage within a collaborative oncology team. Schedule Clinic Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Minimum Coverage: 3 days/week (full-time preferred) Call Rotation: 1 week per month Call Type: Inpatient + phone consults (0–2 calls/day typical) Weekend Coverage: Required as part of call rotation Inpatient Rounding: 1–2 hours as needed (not daily required) Clinical Responsibilities Provide outpatient hematology/oncology care Manage ~15 patients/day (mix of new, follow-ups, and treatment visits) Treat common solid tumors: Lung, breast, prostate, colorectal cancers Community oncology cases and select hematology cases Oversee infusion therapies: Chemotherapy and immunotherapy IVIG, IV iron, and injections Provide inpatient consultative oncology/hematology support Participate in tumor boards and multidisciplinary care planning Coordinate radiation oncology care with navigators Practice Details Setting: Hospital + outpatient cancer center EMR: Epic (dictation via Nuance) Hospital Size: 274 beds Support Staff: 1 NP + virtual hematologist support Infusion Centers: On-site support in Chambersburg and Waynesboro Accreditation: ACS-accredited Cancer Institute Requirements Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology (double board preferred) Completion of fellowship required Active Pennsylvania license preferred (IMLC accepted) DEA required Open to both experienced and early-career physicians Additional Information Credentialing timeframe: 90–120 days Schedule can be built in advance (up to 1 year) All orientation hours are billable Strong interdisciplinary oncology team support Why This Opportunity?
