Ohio University is hiring an Operations Coordinator – Evenings & Weekends. The role involves overseeing university transit programming, including fixed-route, paratransit, and on-demand transportation, providing leadership to transit operators, supporting campus outreach, and assisting with administrative coordination and reporting, including after-hours and special event operations. Highlights Manage daily operations of university transit services including fixed-route, paratransit, and on-demand transportation.
Supervise and mentor intermittent and student transit operators. Support campus outreach, promotion, and engagement to increase transit utilization. Provide administrative coordination, reporting, and support for after-hours services and special events. Monitor campus transportation and parking compliance and oversee permit parking, parking enforcement, event transportation, and related facility maintenance.
Requires Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus 5+ years of relevant professional experience or equivalent education and experience. May require a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) for certain positions. Full-time, 10-month position with primary hours Tuesday-Saturday 2:30 PM – 11:30 PM and on-call status for operational needs at Ohio University Transportation & Parking Services. Target salary range is $43,888 to $51,377, with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, paid holidays, sick leave, vacation, tuition waiver, and retirement options.
Works under the Vice President for Finance & Administration in the Transportation & Parking department.
