We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Senior Sister to join our department. This is a full-time post requires cover over Warwick and Stratford. The department operates Monday to Friday 08:00-17:30 We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to provide clinical and operational leadership, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to lead and motivate teams, and support the development of staff and services.

The post holder will be self-motivated, organised and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. They will support workforce management, patient safety, governance, service improvement and the delivery of quality care. The Eye Unit is a friendly and supportive multidisciplinary service caring for patients with a wide range of ophthalmic conditions. Our team includes nurses, healthcare support workers, ophthalmologists, optometrists, orthoptist, technicians and administrative staff.

The department comprises a busy outpatient service, caring for patients undergoing ophthalmic surgery under local anaesthetics and a nurse-led anti-VEGF injection service. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated team and contribute to the ongoing development of ophthalmology services., The post holder will contribute to the development of the ward team and support the Ward Manager in the delivery of a consistently high quality and cost effective service.
