Location: Lebanon, PA (Acute Care Hospital) Start Date: May 10, 2026 Contract Length: Ongoing Positions Available: 4 Position Overview Seeking experienced Cardiothoracic Surgery APPs (NP or PA) for ongoing weekend call coverage at a 163-bed acute care hospital. This role is ideal for providers comfortable with high-acuity cardiac cases and looking for a structured, weekend-focused schedule with strong physician support.

Schedule Weekend Coverage: Friday 5:00 PM – Monday 7:00 AM Call Type: 24-hour call Frequency: 3 weekends per month Average Callback: ~4 hours/day (including rounding) Clinical Responsibilities Provide cardiothoracic surgical support for adult patients (18+) Manage urgent surgical cases (cath lab to OR workflow) Perform vein harvesting Round on post-op patients and assist with care transitions (ICU to discharge) Collaborate closely with surgeons (available for backup after consults) Practice Details Setting: Acute Care Hospital EMR: Epic Support: APP team environment Patient Flow: Mix of urgent surgical cases; stable patients may be scheduled for weekday procedures Requirements NP or PA with cardiothoracic surgery experience Minimum 3 years of relevant experience Active PA license (or willing to obtain) DEA required Acute Care certification not required Additional Information Credentialing timeframe: ~90 days (temporary privileges available for clean files) Orientation: All hours billable Gratis: 2 hours Why This Opportunity?
