Based in our London office, you will lead a Paraplanning and Advice Delivery Support Unit (ADSU) team, overseeing team performance, development and service delivery. This is a player-manager role, combining people leadership with a reduced level of technical and client work to support business priorities., Leadership & People Lead, coach and develop Paraplanning and ADSU colleagues.
Manage performance, wellbeing, development and recruitment activity. Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture. Workflow & Service Delivery Oversee workflow, capacity and service levels across both teams. Act as a key contact for Advisers and Financial Planning Executives. Use MI and data to monitor performance and drive improvements. Technical & Client Support Maintain a reduced caseload alongside management responsibilities.
Support report writing, advice delivery, quality reviews and complex cases. Ensure accurate records and effective use of Curo. Quality & Continuous Improvement Promote high standards of quality, compliance and client service. Drive process, technology and operational improvements. Build strong relationships across Advice Delivery and the wider business. Strong Paraplanning experience with high-quality report-writing skills.
CII Diploma in Financial Planning (minimum). Experience leading, coaching or mentoring others. Excellent communication, stakeholder management and organisational skills. Strong technical knowledge of pensions, investments and regulation. Able to manage competing priorities while maintaining service standards. Adaptable, accountable and committed to continuous improvement. Desirable Previous people-management experience.
Advanced Diploma, Chartered status or working towards it. Experience managing hybrid or multi-site teams. Knowledge of workflow systems, MI and Curo. Experience supporting operational change and process improvement initiatives.
