Position Description: The part-time Muslim Chaplin will provide pastoral care and support to students; lead weekly student programs; manage and steward program budgets; develop and maintain strategic partnerships with local organizations; and coordinate interfaith initiatives that foster and strengthen Muslim life and presence on campus.
This is a part-time position scheduled for 10 hours per week, 11 months per year, with July off. Accompaniment and spiritual support of Muslim students primarily, with some overlap with supporting staff and faculty (40%) Work with Muslim Student Association and other Muslim student leaders to develop religious services and gatherings on campus (20%) Oversee and develop inventory and administration of current Muslim prayer spaces (10%) Participate, collaborate and engage in inter-religious programming in partnership with Campus Ministry, Theology and Religious Studies, Mission Integration and the Center for Ecumenical and Interreligious Engagement (10%) Provide spiritual leadership and accompaniment of all students with a spirit of spiritual and religious inclusivity and educate the community about Islam (10%) Attend team and division meetings where appropriate and engage in necessary administrative tasks such as room scheduling, maintaining budget for programs and working with marketing to share and communicate offerings.

$35 per hour Seattle University has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting.
