A person in this role gains valuable experience in customer service, conflict resolution, time management, and teamwork skills that are transferable to any future career.Department-Specific ResponsibilitiesProvides front-line leadership for facility upkeep and event support, overseeing Operations Assistants and ensuring recreational spaces are clean, organized, and prepared for daily use and special events.Conducts proper and thorough cleaning of equipment, shared spaces, and common-use objects while updating related logs as appropriate.Maintains a working knowledge of all Recreational Sports programs and services.Coordinates set-ups of programming, services, academic classes, and special events.Provides leadership and direction to Operations Assistants during shifts.Oversees facility cleanliness and equipment upkeep.Assists with training new staff members.Deliver quality relational service to all participants, program participants, and visitors.Attends all Operations team meetings and trainings.Other duties and projects as assigned.Qualifications EDUCATIONRequiredGeneral knowledge at the high school levelPreferredSome collegeWORK EXPERIENCERequiredExperience working in Recreational Sports or a similar operations environmentPreferredExperience supervising or training staffSKILLSRequiredLeadership and team supervisionCommunication and interpersonal skillsOrganization and time managementStrong work ethic and reliabilityA desire for professional and educational growthWorking Conditions / Demands These positions require standing for long periods of time and frequently moving about the workspace.
