Location: Potsdam, New York Facility: Acute Care Hospital Start Date: January 4, 2027 Assignment: 3 months with potential for ongoing coverage Position: 1 Schedule: 24-hour call shifts EMR: Epic 🌟 Opportunity Overview An excellent opportunity is available for a Board-Certified Pediatrician to provide hospitalist coverage at an acute care hospital in Potsdam, New York . This role offers approximately 5–7 24-hour call shifts per month , with weekday and weekend coverage.

When there are no acute hospital needs, the physician may remain outside the hospital while on call, provided they can return to the facility within 20 minutes . 📅 Schedule & Call Approximately 5–7 shifts per month 24-hour call: 7:00 AM–7:00 AM Weekday and weekend coverage required Multiple consecutive 24-hour shifts may be available Provider may remain out of the hospital when not needed onsite Must be able to return to the hospital within 20 minutes 4 hours complimentary when called in for patient care Overtime and holiday shifts: 1.25× regular rate 🏥 Clinical Responsibilities Coverage includes: Newborn nursery High-risk deliveries ER consultations Pediatric inpatient unit Stabilization and resuscitation of critically ill newborns awaiting NICU transport The nursery is generally Level I , with approximately 4–10 newborns and 0–3 pediatric inpatients at a time.

High-risk deliveries require the physician to be comfortable stabilizing critically ill newborns while awaiting transfer. 👶 Patient Population Newborns Infants Pediatric inpatients High-risk newborns requiring stabilization 👥 Clinical Support Pediatric physician coverage OB physician and/or midwife CNA/CMA support 24/7 anesthesia coverage with CRNA or MD Epic EMR with templates and order sets ✅ Requirements Board Certified Pediatrician – required New York medical license in hand – required NRP, PALS, and BLS – required Certifications must be AHA or RQI Epic experience required Residents and fellows will not be accepted Up-to-date work history required No unexplained employment gaps of 30+ days If malpractice history exists, a physician statement is required Candidate CV must be agency-branded at submission Candidate email and phone number must be included with submission 💰 Compensation $2,470/day regular bill rate $280.25/hour call-back rate OT & holiday: 1.25× regular rate All orientation hours are billable 4 hours of call-back are complimentary 🌟 Why Consider This Opportunity?
