Outpatient Neurologist – Central Pennsylvania Between Pittsburgh and Harrisburg J-1 & H-1B Visa Candidates Welcome Clinical Opportunity A large, integrated health system in central Pennsylvania is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Neurologist for a permanent, outpatient-only position. You’ll join a busy, well-established general neurology practice supported by advanced practice providers and experienced administrative staff.
This role offers immediate volume from a strong referral network covering six surrounding counties . New graduates are welcome. Practice Highlights Outpatient neurology only Monday–Friday schedule Shared practice call No inpatient responsibilities All inpatient care and hospital call covered by a dedicated tele-neurohospitalist team Collegial, physician-led environment with strong autonomy Opportunity to build and grow a general and/or subspecialty focus Clinical Scope General neurology with exposure to: Movement disorders Headache Epilepsy Stroke Cognitive disorders Neuromuscular disorders Sleep disorders Current providers perform EEGs and EMGs Work closely with neuro-intervention, stroke, and neurosurgery teams Hospital is an accredited Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center Location & Clinic Setting Outpatient clinic located 1.5 miles from the hospital Medical mall setting including: Sleep lab EEG & EMG lab Radiology Rehabilitation services Multiple primary and specialty practices EMR: Epic Clinical (non-academic) appointment Compensation & Benefits Guaranteed base salary: $300,000 for the first 2 years Typical annual compensation: $350,000–$500,000 RVU bonus structure Sign-on bonus: $25,000–$35,000 (based on experience) Relocation assistance CME: $3,000–$3,500 allowance 5 days / 1 week CME time PTO: 20 days PTO + 7 holidays (or 3 weeks PTO depending on contract structure) Student loan reimbursement (possible) Comprehensive benefits: Health, dental, vision Life and disability insurance Pension/retirement plan Malpractice insurance provided Hospital-employed position J-1 and H-1B visa sponsorship available Hospital & Health System 375-bed regional hospital serving a six-county area Level III Trauma Center Certified Stroke Center Regional Oncology Center Comprehensive cardiology and cardiovascular surgery Medical staff of ~400 physicians Part of a $23 billion national health system with: 92,000 employees 4,900 physicians 40+ hospitals 800+ outpatient locations Closely affiliated with University of Pittsburgh Community & Lifestyle Choose to live in Altoona , Hollidaysburg, or State College (home of Penn State University ) Town population ~40,000 Very reasonable cost of living Excellent public and private school options Minor league baseball and Big Ten sports Cultural amenities including theatre, symphony, festivals, and touring performers Outdoor recreation: Mountains, skiing, rivers, lakes, biking, golf, tennis, pickleball Centrally located: ~2 hours to Pittsburgh ~2 hours to Harrisburg Access to Philadelphia, Washington DC, and NYC No rush-hour traffic or parking fees Everything within a 15-minute drive Next Steps Allow RecruitWell to arrange a confidential phone call with you and the client to discuss details, visa support, and timing.
