Purpose of the Position The People & Culture Locum Assistant will provide administrative and operational support to the People & Culture function, contributing to the effective and timely implementation of employee lifecycle processes and day-to-day P&C activities. The role will support areas including recruitment, onboarding, personnel records, contracts, performance management, staff welfare, employee engagement, HR documentation and maintenance of P&C records and trackers, while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for, among others: Supporting recruitment and selection processes, including preparation of job advertisements, shortlisting, interview arrangements and onboarding. Supporting the preparation and processing of employment contracts, extensions, renewals and related documentation. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records and personnel files.
Supporting onboarding, induction and separation processes. Applicants should have: A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Human Resource Development, Business Administration, Industrial Relations or a related field. At least 1–2 years of relevant experience in Human Resources/People & Culture, preferably within an NGO or development organization. Practical experience in HR administration, recruitment, employee records, contracts and other employee lifecycle processes.
Good knowledge of HR policies, procedures and employment practices. Good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. High levels of integrity, confidentiality and attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with HRIS systems is an added advantage. Ability to work collaboratively with staff at different levels of the organization.
