Quick Facts Location: Colorado Springs, CO 80909 Start Date: 04/28/2026 End Date/Duration: Perm Shift: M-F, 8-hour shifts; rotating OR coverage Hours/Week: Full-time Employment Type: Permanent Licenses/Certifications: Valid Nurse Practitioner license, CCRN or CVICU experience preferred Experience: 2+ years in cardiovascular or surgical ICU preferred Pay & Benefits Hourly Pay Rate: $1.00 (pay package discussed upon application) Benefits include: Competitive annual salary based on experience Weekly pay schedule via direct deposit Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance (including dependent coverage) Paid malpractice insurance Generous CME allowance and tuition assistance programs Retirement plans with employer matching (403(b) and optional 457(b)) Paid sick leave, PTO from day one, family and medical leave (including Colorado FAMLI) Additional voluntary benefits such as identity theft protection, pet insurance, and employee discounts Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable What You’ll Do Provide advanced clinical care to cardiothoracic surgery patients with a focus on compassionate, patient-centered care Assist in cardiac surgeries, including performing endoscopic vein harvesting and first assisting when needed Manage ICU and surgical patient care, including rounding and evaluations in CVICU, floor, and clinics Participate in bi-weekly clinics and additional patient care as scheduled Rotate through operating room coverage Monday through Friday Collaborate with surgeons, physicians, and healthcare team members in a multidisciplinary environment Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic tests Develop, implement, and follow up on patient care plans Order medications and write prescriptions per regulatory policies Perform bedside procedures as needed Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all care activities Maintain continuing medical education to meet licensing and registry requirements Adapt to a dynamic clinical environment with flexibility and teamwork What You Need Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Colorado or ability to obtain Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in cardiovascular or surgical ICU settings Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills Ability to thrive in a high-stress, fast-paced environment About the Assignment Join a dedicated, patient-focused team at a top facility in Colorado Springs, CO, committed to delivering excellent cardiothoracic surgical care.
