Quick Facts: Location: Detroit, MI (2800 West Grand Boulevard) Start Date: 04/28/2026 End Date/Duration: Perm Shift: Flexible – primarily outpatient; leadership responsibilities Hours/week: Full-time (Negotiable) Employment Type: Permanent Licensure/Certs: Michigan medical license required; Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology; successful fellowship completion Experience: Prior leadership experience in academic or large health system setting preferred Pay & Benefits: Hourly Pay Rate: $1.00 (for internal purposes; salary details in benefits section) Annual Salary: $500,000 – $550,000 (base salary) Benefits include: Comprehensive Medical, Dental, Vision insurance Retirement and Savings plans Generous Paid Time Off, including vacation, sick leave, and holidays CME allowance and relocation assistance up to $30,000 Paid Sick Time in accordance with applicable laws Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements What You’ll Do: Provide strategic leadership and oversight for the Hematology/Oncology division within a leading academic health system Serve as Associate Medical Director for the Cancer Service Line, guiding systemwide cancer care strategies Lead and mentor over 40 faculty members specializing in hematology and oncology Manage clinical, academic, and research programs, expanding innovative cancer treatments and research initiatives Oversee and collaborate on specialty programs including Bone Marrow Transplant, infusion services, and outpatient clinics Maintain a clinical practice (~25%), integrating patient care with leadership and research activities Support and develop academic programs, mentorship, and multidisciplinary collaborations Lead efforts to expand clinical trials, precision medicine, and population health initiatives What You Need: Required: Medical degree (MD or DO) Board certification in Hematology/Oncology Completion of Hematology/Oncology fellowship Michigan medical license or eligible for licensure Proven leadership and administrative experience in academic or large hospital systems Preferred: Experience overseeing faculty, clinical programs, and research initiatives Demonstrated success in strategic planning and healthcare operations Strong communication and mentorship skills About the Assignment: Join a leading facility in Detroit, Michigan, dedicated to advancing cancer care, research, and education.
