Quick Facts: Location: Brattleboro, VT (17 Belmont Avenue) Start Date: 05/29/2026 Schedule: Part-time (~24 hours/week) Shift: Flexible hours, outpatient clinic setting Hours/Week: 24 Employment Type: Permanent Licenses/Certifications: Medical license in VT (or ability to obtain) Experience: Prior oncology experience preferred but not specified Pay & Benefits: Hourly Pay Rate: $1.00 (note: pay package discussed upon application) Benefits: Competitive pay packages Weekly pay via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Paid sick time in accordance with applicable laws Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable Dedicated team support to ensure your success Opportunities for professional growth and involvement in clinical trials What You’ll Do: Diagnose and stage various cancers with clinical assessments, imaging, and labs Develop personalized treatment plans including chemotherapy, radiation, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as needed Manage treatment-related side effects and provide supportive care Educate patients and families about diagnosis, treatment options, and outcomes Offer emotional support and counseling throughout the cancer journey Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including surgeons, radiologists, nurses, and navigators Participate in clinical research, trials, and quality improvement projects Stay current with oncology guidelines, advancements, and evidence-based practices Mentor colleagues and contribute to department initiatives What You Need: Medical license in Vermont or eligibility to obtain one Prior experience in oncology preferred but not required Strong clinical assessment skills and compassion for patients Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment About the Assignment: This position at a premier community hospital offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive cancer care in a patient-centered outpatient setting.
