This individual serves as the Manager of Record for the main campus pharmacy and a satellite clinic pharmacy location. In this capacity, they will be responsible for aspects including, but not limited to, regulatory compliance, financial stewardship, workflow design and quality improvement initiatives, and overall effective pharmacy services at both locations.This leader reports to the MGH Director of Pharmacy Operations and have a 25 to 30 FTE team comprised of technical and professional staff.
They will collaborate across MGH and MGB pharmacy leaders to ensure sustained, integrated success in care delivery, including but not limited to Clinical, Distribution, Compounding, Perioperative, and Infusion services.SummaryDirects daily operations of pharmacy services. This position directs and supports pharmacy staff. Participates in determining the department's short- and long-term goals and related policies and procedures.
Provides leadership and guidance to the pharmacy staff.Essential Functions-Provides leadership, guidance, and serves as a role model to those professionals under his/her supervision. -Supervises and directs the daily operations of pharmacy services. Schedule and assign staff-Serves as a resource person regarding pharmacy policies to pharmacists, physicians, nurses, and other hospital staff. -Participates in on-call responsibility as assigned.-Responsible for staff development and performance evaluation.-Assists in the recruitment, interviews, and training of new staff.
