Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician, you will join CHI Health Good Samaritan in Kearney, Nebraska, and become part of a collaborative, multispecialty team dedicated to helping patients restore function, maximize independence, and improve quality of life. You will join an established practice with immediate volume and have the opportunity to build a diverse rehabilitation practice while serving a large regional referral population across central and western Nebraska.

Every day you will provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services, collaborate with specialists across multiple disciplines, lead rehabilitation care planning, and help patients recover from injury, illness, and complex neurological and musculoskeletal conditions. To be successful in this role, you will be a board-certified or board-eligible Physiatrist with strong clinical expertise, a patient-centered approach to rehabilitation medicine, and a commitment to multidisciplinary care.

You will also demonstrate excellent communication skills, clinical leadership, and the ability to thrive within a collaborative healthcare environment. Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation services Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with functional impairments resulting from neurological, orthopedic, traumatic, and medically complex conditions Serve patients throughout a regional referral network with a catchment area exceeding 300,000 residents Manage patients within a 14-bed acute inpatient rehabilitation unit while collaborating with hospitalists who provide co-management support Maintain an average inpatient census of 8 to 10 patients Develop individualized rehabilitation treatment plans focused on maximizing patient independence and functional outcomes Collaborate closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, nursing staff, case managers, and multidisciplinary care teams Partner with specialists across Neurosurgery, Neurology, Orthopedic Surgery, Behavioral Health, Psychiatry, and other service lines to provide coordinated care Participate in the ongoing growth and development of rehabilitation services throughout the region Utilize EPIC as the integrated electronic medical record in both inpatient and outpatient settings Practice within an environment that supports autonomy, flexibility, and professional growth Contribute to a culture of clinical excellence, teamwork, and patient-centered care We are offering a competitive compensation package, relocation assistance, CME allowance, malpractice coverage with tail coverage, and the opportunity to join a well-established rehabilitation program.

Job Requirements Required American Board Certified or Board Eligible in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Completion of a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency Program Valid Nebraska medical license or eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Nebraska Nebraska DEA registration or eligibility to obtain Preferred Experience in inpatient rehabilitation medicine Where You'll Work CHI Health Good Samaritan is a 200-bed, Level II Trauma Center and regional referral hub serving central and western Nebraska.
