Quick Facts: Location: Tyler, TX Start Date: 07/17/2026 Duration: 2 days (7/10 & 7/11) for last-minute coverage Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Days) Hours per Week: 24 hours (approximate) Employment Type: PRN / Temporary Licensure/Certifications: Valid Physician Assistant license, ACLS/BLS preferred Experience: Previous ICU and OR experience required; vein harvesting experience highly preferred Pay & Benefits: Compensation: $1.00 per hour (pay package discussed upon application) Benefits include: Weekly pay via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Paid sick time in accordance with applicable laws Reimbursements for licensure, certification, travel, and other eligible expenses 24/7 dedicated team support during your assignment What You’ll Do: Provide rounding and patient management in ICU, pre, and post-cardiac surgery units Manage patients emerging from the operating room with open-heart, VATS, and lung cases Assist with ventilator management and patient stabilization post-surgery Collaborate with surgical and ICU teams to ensure optimal patient care Support intraoperative procedures, including potential vein harvesting procedures Document patient care and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams What You Need: Active Physician Assistant license in Texas or ability to practice in the state Minimum of 2 years ICU and surgical experience, ideally in cardiovascular settings Strong skills in patient assessment, ventilator management, and perioperative care Excellent communication and teamwork skills About the Assignment: This short-term assignment is based in the ICU of a leading facility in Tyler, Texas.
