Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant (Clinical Research) – Chandler, AZ Overview & Highlights Location: Chandler, AZ Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week (4/10s), Monday–Thursday Employment Type: Full-time, exempt Compensation: $130,000–$155,000 per year, depending on experience Focus: Phase 1 clinical research, liver disease, gastroenterology, and hepatology Reports To: VP of Research Benefits: 4 weeks PTO, CME budget and time off, health/dental/vision coverage, 401(k) with 6% company match, paid holidays, sick time, and disability coverage Location & Logistics Work Environment: On-site Phase 1 clinical research and specialty patient care setting Schedule: Monday–Thursday, four 10-hour shifts Friday: No regularly scheduled shift Travel: Interoffice travel may be required; company vehicle or mileage reimbursement options available On-Call: Participation in the APP call rotation as applicable About the Opportunity / A Day in the Life We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join a Phase 1 clinical research team in Chandler, Arizona.

This is a specialized opportunity for an APP who understands clinical research and wants to play a meaningful role in bringing emerging therapies to patients. You will work directly with both standard-of-care and clinical research patients, conducting evaluations and consultations, reviewing pretreatment requirements, performing safety medical reviews, and managing patients throughout their participation in clinical trials.

You will also serve in a Sub-Investigator capacity , requiring a strong understanding of study protocols, patient safety, research documentation, and regulatory expectations. The role is highly collaborative. You will work alongside physicians, clinical research coordinators, research recruiters, and other research professionals to execute study visits, maintain accurate source documentation, review informed consent documentation, and ensure protocols are followed appropriately.

This is also a role with meaningful patient ownership. You will help manage patients from their initial visit through study completion and closeout while contributing to innovative care for individuals affected by liver and gastrointestinal disease. Serve in a Sub-Investigator capacity and support the clinical execution of Phase 1 research protocols. Oversee appropriate aspects of clinical trial patient care and conduct medical and safety reviews. Diagnose conditions and make appropriate treatment decisions within established scope of practice. Educate patients regarding therapeutic options available through applicable liver clinical trials. Counsel patients and families and coordinate appropriate direct-care interventions with physicians.
