Opportunity: Physician - Emergency Medicine Job Details: Provide emergency medicine coverage at a freestanding emergency department (FSED) in a suburban setting Shift times are 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM or 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM No call coverage required 12-bed facility with a census of fewer than 30 patients per day and fewer than 10 daily admissions Perform all standard emergency department procedures including sedation, intubation, and central lines Work alongside a support staff of 2-3 RNs and a radiology technician One emergency medicine physician on staff per shift Must be ABEM certified or eligible and graduated from an emergency medicine residency program Ability to function independently in an FSED setting with limited orientation (2-4 hours) No trauma center designation; typical suburban FSED volume and patient mix 6-month duration of need 1-2 positions available Facility: This facility is a freestanding emergency department (FSED) operating within a well-established health system in Tennessee.
