Location WI, Ladysmith Specialty Family Medicine Visas Accepted H1B or J1 Practice Details Marshfield Medical Center - Ladysmith is seeking a BC/BE Family Medicine physician to join our established and growing primary care practice in Ladysmith, Wisconsin. 100% outpatient practice that can support flexible scheduling Flexible 4-day work week if desired Join a great collegial group of physicians and APCs Well-rounded practice allows you to stay sharp on a range of skills Call is light - 1 week of call coverage every quarter and Nurse line is 1st call Excellent work-life balance (support for job sharing) Option A: Full Time Clinical Role Option B: Full Time Clinical (80%) and Community Project Engagement (20%) Protected Time Dedicated to a Community Health Project Through a grant from the Orion Initiative, a grant program within the UW School of Medicine and Public Health, [provider] is able to offer 20% protected time for three years for a physician to lead a community health project.
That means 20% of the physician’s time in this full-time position will be dedicated to a community health project, with the remaining 80% focused on clinical care. This is a unique opportunity for physicians who want to make an impact beyond the clinic walls while addressing a health need in the community. A community health project is a project that: Serves the community where the rural hospital or clinic is located or a community within its service area Seeks to improve health or address a specific health condition or broader determinant of health, such as healthy lifestyles, disease prevention and control or environmental factors that negatively impact health Does not involve political campaign activity, lobbying or partisan advocacy We strongly encourage our physicians to be involved in medical education and research to continue building our strong foundation of patient care, research and education for years to come.
