• Seeking an MD/DO specializing in Gastroenterology for a locum tenens assignment. • Full-time 1.0 FTE position with an expected duration of 6 months . • Provider will provide care across outpatient procedures, inpatient procedures, and clinic services. • Average patient volume is approximately 15 patients per day . • Provider will work alongside two other physicians in the department.

• Position includes both inpatient and outpatient privileges. • No call requirement. • Assignment includes rounding and admissions. Job Responsibilities: • Perform comprehensive inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology consultations and procedures. • Perform EGD, colonoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, and other general GI procedures. • Order and interpret capsule endoscopy and esophageal manometry.

• Perform therapeutic procedures including polypectomy, biopsy, endoscopic hemostasis, stricture dilation, foreign body removal, and APC. • Perform or manage advanced GI procedures including PEG placement/replacement, ERCP, EUS with interventions, and Bravo pH procedures. • Perform ERCP procedures including sampling, stent placement, stone extraction, dilation, and cholangioscopy. • Provide inpatient rounding and admissions as required.

• Evaluate patients, establish treatment plans, and provide follow-up care. • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the Epic EMR. • Collaborate with other gastroenterologists and healthcare professionals. Qualifications: • MD or DO degree. • Gastroenterology specialty training. • Advanced GI training required. • BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.

• Epic EMR experience required. • Willingness to obtain required state licensure. • Applicants must provide documentation of relevant gastroenterology clinical activity from the previous 24 months. • Additional documentation may be required for double-balloon enteroscopy or capsule endoscopy privileges, including supervised training and competency verification when applicable. • COVID-19 vaccination required according to facility guidelines; no exemptions.

Working Hours: • Monday–Friday. • 7:30 AM–4:00 PM typical daily schedule. • 8-hour shifts. • 40 hours per week. • Coverage includes outpatient procedures, inpatient procedures, and clinic time. • No call requirement. • Rounding and admissions required. • 8 hours of non-billable orientation. Skills: • Diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy. • Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD). • Colonoscopy and flexible sigmoidoscopy.

• Capsule endoscopy. • Esophageal manometry. • Polypectomy and biopsy. • Endoscopic hemostasis. • Stricture dilation and foreign body removal. • Argon Plasma Coagulation (APC). • PEG placement and replacement. • ERCP and associated interventions. • Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) with interventions. • Bravo pH procedures. • Inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology care. • Epic EMR proficiency.
